Add Some Heatsinks to the Processor and Radio Electronics
Allow more heat to radiate off your processor and radio electronics by sticking heatsinks on them.
Split a heatsink such as one scavanged from an old PC motherboard.
Epoxy may not be the ideal heat transfer glue but it makes for a strong bond and is a good electric insolator.

Create Artificial Ventilation With a Fan
Cut a hole slightly smaller than the fan's outer dimensions, in this case a small CPU cooling fan, in the top cover of the router.
Position it so that it blows the air into the casing closest to the processor heat sink for best results.

Give The Fan Some Power From The Router's Power Supply
Since the fan requires the same 12V as the router, just wire it directly onto the router's power supply socket on the PCB.
This simplifies getting the fan powered and it does not draw enough current to affect the router's power supply to provide sufficient power.

Fasten The Fan Onto The Router's Outer Casing
Again using some epoxy, glue the cooler fan in place onto the top of the router where you have cut the hole.
Make sure that the wires are not in the way or accidentally glued to the casing or fan... or anything else for that matter.
